Experience with SBG

Mr. Dilly began his legal career with SBG in 2007. He regularly advises clients with respect to entity formation and dissolution, governance and financing and has been extensively involved in negotiations and document preparation for the formation, merger and dissolution of various entities, as well as acquisitions and dispositions by stock and asset sales.

Mr. Dilly’s tax practice extends to issues relating to individuals, corporations, partnerships, tax-exempt organizations and qualified plans.  He advises clients with regard to transaction structures, tax planning, represents taxpayers in various stages of tax controversies and litigation, and is involved in tax return preparation.  In addition, he has been intensively involved with qualified pension plans, profit sharing plans and defined contribution plans, assisting clients with navigating and implementing complex IRS and governmental regulations. He regularly works with Section 501(c) (3) and other tax exempt organizations, advising on the structuring and planning of the entity, preparation of documents and obtaining IRS qualification.

Mr. Dilly also is experienced in representing Kansas and Missouri condominium associations, town home associations, homeowners associations and planned community associations, particularly in the areas of amending and updating declarations, covenants, restrictions, regulations and collecting unpaid assessments.

Educational background

Mr Dilly received his undergraduate degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2004 and his Law degree from the University of Kansas in 2007.

Special achievements, recognitions or accolades

Mr. Dilly serves on the Board of Metro Lutheran Ministry, on the Advisory Board for the Volunteer Attorney Project, a division of Legal Aid of Western, and as President and Board member of the Cherry Hill Estate Homes Association.  In 2016, Mr. Dilly was a recipient of the Missouri Bar Pro Bono Publico Award.
