Mr. Fligg has been a member of the firm his entire legal career, having begun his practice in 1957. His father, Kenneth I. Fligg, Sr., had been a partner of the firm before him. He practices extensively in estate and business tax and personal planning, utilizing wills, living and charitable trusts, family limited partnerships, private foundations and other entities to achieve his clients’ tax and financial goals. He also has broad experience in the development, construction, sale, exchange, leasing and financing of residential, multi-family and commercial real estate, representing business and individual clients, as well as financial institutions.
Mr. Fligg is admitted to practice in Missouri, Kansas, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas in 1957 and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kansas in 1955.
Special achievements, recognitions or accolades
Mr. Fligg has engaged extensively in civic work throughout his career, and his Board memberships have included Sunset Hill School (Chairman), Saint Luke’s Health System (Secretary), and Mission Hills Country Club (President). He has served in numerous capacities for the Episcopal Diocese, including Chancellor of the Diocese. Mr. Fligg was voted one of Kansas City’s most respected attorneys in The Business Journal 2003 Best of the Bar and for many years has been listed in Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers.
