Mr.
Hurwitz graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia, B.A.
and LL.B. (1949 and 1951) and New York University, LL.M. (1952). He
has been a frequent speaker before Estate Planning Councils and at
University- and Bar-sponsored continuing legal education seminars.
For the
last 24 years, he has presented the estate and gift tax portion of the
annual tax update seminar sponsored by the Law School of UMKC and the
Lawyers Association.
He is
the 2004 recipient of the Donald Chisholm Award presented by the
Greater Kansas City Community Foundation in recognition of his
involvement in local charitable activities.
His name
was recently added to the list of neutrals in the Early Assessment
Program of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of
Missouri.
