Experience with SBG
Mr. Gualtier has been with SBG his entire career which began in 1984 and currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee. His has extensive experience in tax law, tax planning, tax controversy, entity formation, maintenance and disposition, and real estate. He has participated in complex mergers and other business combinations, as well as numerous corporate, tax, tax litigation, business and business litigation matters, including IRS Appeals and tax controversies in United States Tax Court, United States District Court and Court of Appeals. He has been extensively involved in negotiations, contract and document preparation, and the formation, merger and dissolution of various entities, as well as acquisitions and dispositions of stock, real estate and other assets including tax deferred exchanges of like kind assets, and commercial real estate leasing.
He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Kansas in 1981 and law degree from The University of Kansas School of Law in 1984.
Special achievements, recognitions or accolades
Mr. Gualtier was voted one of Kansas City’s most respected attorneys in The Business Journal 2003 Best of the Bar. He has been published in the University of Kansas School of Law Criminal Procedure Review and has served on the Board of Directors and committees for several charitable organizations.
He is a member of The Missouri Bar, The American Bar Association and The Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.
